Laying Out your Vision-Résumé
Look and Feel
First of all, start by figuring out the image that you want to portray. You should custom tailor your Vision-Résumé to your chosen career field. Choose background pictures that are either neutral or related to your profession. Choose a color scheme that best represents your style to a potential employer.
Résumé Content
Résumé writing is an art all its own. The typical résumé should only be one page unless you are a professional with a lot of career experience. The Vision-Résumé is a bit different. You have a lot more space to go into detail about different areas of your education, experience, skills, etc. You should be sure to fully describe yourself in each of these areas.
Remember that the same essential paper résumé rules apply here as well; ensure that there are no grammatical errors whatsoever, and be sure to make it easy to read. A lengthy paragraph will not be read by most employers, but bullet points will.
You can use a word processing program to construct each section and format it as you see fit. Then simply copy and paste the text into each section.
